ScrubbersThis system simultaneously scrubs and cleans both sides of printed circuit boards and metal panels. ConveyorThe conveyor rollers are constructed of a three piece design. Brass end plugs are machined and pressed into a steel tube. Neoprene rubber is then blown over the tubes forming a rigid yet resilient conveyor roll that is impervious to moisture and most chemicals, yet will not damage the most delicate of circuit boards. BrushesEach brush is powered by an independent motor through a banded V-belt drive. Brush adjustment is accomplished by a mechanical micro precision control, coupled to the bearing housing sides. This allows the brush pressure to be independently varied to ensure a balance between top and bottom scrubbing. This precise control is monitored by two visual load indicating ammeters. The brushes have a positive mechanical coupling, driven by a high torque gear motor, causing the brushes to oscillate 180° out of phase. This system eliminates the possibility of the phase balance being disturbed which would place undue stress on the machine. The quick change brush system enables both upper and lower abrasive wheels to be changed in less than 15 minutes. The machine is designed to accommodate most industrial brushes. The bearing housing utilizes a precision designed splined shaft and sleeve for a positive brush torque transmission. The back-up rollers are manufactured of stainless steel and flame coated for extended life. The upper roller is self adjusting to compensate for the panel thickness. The lower roller supports the bottom of the panel and is firmly mounted to provide zero tolerance .The top and bottom brushes have brass spray nozzles (12 each for 24" wide systems, and 15 each for 30" wide systems) to cool both brushes and panel. Rinse SectionThe rinse section consists of four spray bars with strategically placed "High Pressure Jet Spray Nozzles" (15 top and 15 bottom for 24" wide systems, and 19 top and 19 bottom for 30" wide systems) which are designed to provide a positive overlapping rinse pattern. This assures complete rinsing and removal of loose particles from both panel surfaces and barrels of drilled holes. Drying SystemAn efficient, filtered air system is the key to the drying principle. A high velocity pressure type self cleaning aluminum fan produces 1450 cubic feet of air per minute at 15 inches of static pressure. Ambient air is then fed through six uniquely designed airknives (three top and three bottom) that blast away any trace of moisture, including all through holes. Other key features are:
